Well, Noelle's adoption day is coming up fast. We sure are going to miss having her here and underfoot. I'm glad I'll still get to see her every weekend, but I'm definitely going to miss having her be a daily part of my life. This is the hardest part. The work, the worry, the laughter, the getting to know each other, and than poof she's off to someone else.
Noelle is spending today at the vet's. Its her final phase of treatment. They'll retest her for heartworm and treat the micorfilaria that is still in her bloodstream. No huge restrictions after this treatment, and she was happy to go and visit everyone at the vet.
She's back to being Noelle for the most part. Her energy level isn't fully back yet, but she's been out of comission for 6 weeks, so I don't expect her to have her old stamina yet. However, she tried to take off after the others this morning, and she's constantly being told to settle since she's trying to act like a normal dog. She'll be picked up by her new owners Saturday night, providing the vet clears her today. She's well on the mend, and I'm going to miss my girl....
